Wirral GP Out of Hours service is accessed through the NHS 111 service and provides urgent medical help and advice for patients who are unable to wait for their GP practice to re-open.
If you urgently need medical help or advice outside of your normal GP opening hours, then you should use the NHS 111 service.
NHS 111 is staffed by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses and paramedics. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you to the local service that can help you best.

Wirral Extended Access Service
As part of a Department of Health directive in relation to Primary Care, Wirral CCG now provide extended GP access scheme to all Wirral patients to help facilitate extended access. You can now book to see a GP in the evening, at weekends or on bank holidays.
The service is available at Teehey Lane Medical Centre on Tuesday from 18:30-20:00 hours for our practice patients and also Wirral Wide patients.
This service is also been provided across a number of locations on the Wirral.
To book an appointment during the surgery opening times please call 0151 608 2519. Or call at 0151 652 6077 from 10 am to 6 pm at weekends.
The surgery will be closed on
Wednesday 25th December and Thursday 26th December 2019
(The surgery will re-open on Friday 27th December 2019)
